Privacy Policy
Your financial data lives on your device, not our servers. We only hold the email you sign in with — and you can delete your account and erase everything from inside the app at any time.

Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address, and — if you sign in with Apple or Google — the name you choose to share. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication on our behalf. We use this only to sign you in and secure your account.
Your financial data — stays on your device
The money data you enter — transactions, invoices, quotations, clients, items, budgets, categories and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not upload it to our servers or sell it. It is included in your device’s normal backup (iCloud on iOS, Google Drive on Android) under your own account.
Receipt photos
If you scan or attach a receipt, the image is stored locally with the record. Text is read from receipts on your device using Apple/Google on-device text recognition — the image is not sent to us.
AI Assistant (optional)
If you turn on the AI Assistant, short numeric summaries of your data (totals and category amounts) are sent to Anthropic to generate answers, using an API key you provide. Individual records, client details and personal identifiers are not sent. If you never enable it, nothing is shared.
Purchases
Subscriptions (KeepWise Pro) are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active — never your card or payment details.
How we use information
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To provide the app’s features on your device.
- To activate and restore your Pro subscription.
- To answer AI Assistant questions, only when you enable that feature.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
Google Firebase
Sign-in & account security. Receives your email, name and auth tokens.
Anthropic
AI Assistant answers, only if you opt in. Receives numeric summaries only.
Apple / Google
Subscription billing. Receives your purchase status, no payment details.
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only what each service needs to do its job.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your account email is kept until you delete your account. Your financial data stays on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app. To delete everything, open More → Profile → Delete account inside the app — this permanently removes your account and erases all KeepWise data on the device. The action can’t be undone.
Security
Sign-in is protected by Firebase Authentication over encrypted connections. Your financial data is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your information. You can export a full backup and delete your account directly in the app, or contact us for help.
Children
KeepWise is intended for adults managing their money and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
